Recently saw a photographer Rob Paine (also in Maryland) I follow hit the 2 year mark of posting each day. Congrats on doing that and the fine work you share each day. It reminded me that posting each day was a goal of mine that I have fallen short of. But as always I have a chance to change this so I hope to Breath some new life into this blog. For the title of the first post I did for it was “It’s Alive”. Well alive means each day to me. I don’t stop breathing one day and come back the next.
So I hope to keep my carbs clean and breath new life each day into this blog. So as any good publisher does, they plan, prepare, produce and publish. They have long and short-term projects/features. The coordinate resources. Whoops, that is where I come up a bit short but right now but if I apply myself, I might even surprise myself and a few others.
For publishing each day is an art. I work for a daily publisher and the department I work in runs 365. And by runs I mean RUNS. It’s a non stop machine. And now with the online products it’s a 24/7/365 operation. And I’ve been doing that work for some time and know the commitment it takes to do it right each and every day. There is no off day. There is no being sick or on vacation. Well of course there is but you had better be a good planner and have very flexible people. As well as being dedicated and flexible yourself.
So how do I pull this off myself? Well guess I should re-evaluate this piece by piece. But that is for another article because today is filled with chores, family and hopefully a few minutes to do some local shooting.
And just a reminder if your into bikes, the Woodstock Bike Fest and Concerts is this Sunday May 31st at the Woodstock Inn. Think I’ll walk down and take some photos. Always a happening event. Been thinking of riding again myself. Did for over 30 years but haven’t ridden in a good while now. Boy do I miss it.
