Calm, collected and content. An interesting concept. Something I wish I learned a long time ago. For I’m of the belief that those three things lead to a healthier life and a longer one. So that is where I’m trying to gravitate to. Hard to do while spending a fair amount of time on the road. I think I’m going to start to use cats as my example. Always loved the furry critters and connected to them. They have always provided me a sense of calm.
Missing a good friend who’s laid up in the hospital. Plans had been for them to travel north for a blowout this weekend. But we will do it again in the future hopefully. I’ve been thinking about taking a trip to see him in the interim. Gets hard to coordinate everyone’s schedules as you all know. But as time goes on you realize you either do these things or you might just miss seeing people entirely.
So all you need is a little push.
You know what’s scary, all these hateful people on the various mediums we all frequent have to live somewhere.
I see United Airlines still doesn’t get it. Not surprising anymore. Most companies don’t teach or appreciate common sense.
How often you tell some one you love them is just a little less important than doing things that show you love them. Just remember to do them both. One or the other doesn’t cut it.
I think after almost 4 decades with my wife, that I might annoy her at times. I wonder what I’ll learn in the next 4 decades?
I’m thinking people live too much in the moment, all the time. There has to be a balance on what you’re doing now and what effect its having on the future. And that comes from someone who has made a lot of mistakes along the way.
