Can we make it through another week

I’m going to have to unplug. But I’m so conflicted by the thought of unplugging and not keeping pace with the complexities of the issues that are changing day-to-day, or minute to minute, before our eyes and at the same time being totally overwhelmed trying to have an informed and well read opinion.

And then I think about having to get ready for work and those trees that need to be taken out and the yard that needs cutting in a few days. And then my daughter called. That voice of one of your children. That spirit and joy on the other end of the line. And all of a sudden all was right with the world. Amazing what children can do.

Unplugged.

A man who is only loyal to himself is a lonely and shallow man.

A man who is a bully, will suffer many challenges and eventually get beat and beat bad.

A man who thinks he knows everything and has the solution to all, is delusional.

A man led by greed is never full or happy.

A man who isn’t consistent with beliefs and practices and flout the accepted laws, is a man who history will be harsh on.

A man who can’t accept another opinion expressed without childish dismissal is a child himself.

A man who fakes sincerity is easily seen through.

A man who can’t surround himself with quality people will never produce a quality result.

A man who shows no or fake respect, gets little or fake respect.

A man who can’t speak directly to a man, is not a MAN.

If someone acts and tells you that they are batshit crazy, take them at their word and treat them accordingly.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
