Thinking of the rows of hanging flowers from the corner of Bethany and Rt 99. I miss the orange pumpkins there, the Christmas trees the fruit and corn tables, the white tent tops and the small red barn sheds behind them, and of course the flowers in the spring and fall. Now its a frigging empty lot. Nice going everyone. These simple sights of the county are disappearing.
Such is life. Constant change and adapting. Thankfully my snowball stand is still there. I missed getting one today so I’ll swing by tomorrow afternoon while all the kids are in school. This will get me out of the house and out and about so I can do some shooting.
But enough of this rambling. I’ve got to come up with a more focused approach to this blog. Today I got frustrated because I’m not shooting much. The writing I do is crammed in a few minutes or between other task or chores. I don’t fully explain or expand on my thoughts. I’m not getting to my other endeavors. And I take responsibility. So some changes got to happen and I’m going to start working on those tomorrow. Hopefully some results will be noticeable soon.
Random Thoughts
It didn’t take long for the price gouging at the pump to take place. Big surprise there.
Schools in session in a few hours. Please be careful of the children this morning. And you might want to keep this in mind. If someone sees you blasting through a stopped school bus or cross walk that’s occupied, they might get your plate number. They might find where you live and prevent you from doing it again. More citizens doing public service.
When I do depart this great world, you might want to sell your stock in Coca Cola.
All I can think about is vacation.

Greetings Mr. Hartley
Having known you for over 40 years allow me to share what I see. Ever since we met, you are know doubt one of the hardest workers I have ever know. Always going in early, leaving late is your trademark. Then throw in the typical chores of house ownership, raising two kids and found time enough to maintain a happy marriage. You have always put the desires of your loved ones, and work ahead of what you enjoy doing. I don’t believe there are enough hours in the day for you to do all that. But here is what you can do; pray for longer days. You are awesome.

Scott, thank you for the very kind words. You’re a great friend and I think of you as a brother. Please be safe and if you have to go someplace my door is always open to you and the family.
