Hold on puppies. I started this month off grilling out in the rain all day Saturday. The grass is still growing like it was mid summer. I’ve got gym shorts and flip-flops on. And my glasses so I can see. And I’m Comfortable in that attire. I plan on toes in the sand, a cold beverage in hand and loud music by the band to fill the month of September.
I want to take in a ballgame. I want to eat at a beachfront bar. I want to watch the sunset over the water and not shiver. I want to cruise to and from with the top down. I want to lay in my hammock. And I’d like to smoke some baby back ribs.
I want to watch a man and his dog play in the front yard.
But most of all I’d like for everyone to be healthy and safe. And if I did have to give up everything above that would be fine. And I might want to consider passing on the costly things because it looks like Florida is going to need donations soon.
Time to see my family again. People live through memories long after they pass. And I think that is a sign of respect. So off I go this weekend to Arlington, Moms birthday is coming soon and she needs flowers.
Why does my hair stand on end during the whole song “Free Bird” from Lynyrd Skynyrd? Hell, make that every LS song.
Greed is destroying us.
Thursday is blacken asphalt day.
