Broke but beautiful

Are you at the end of your rope? Well hopefully you have regained some sense of balance this weekend. It’s up to all of us to help each other be fulfilled in life. So grab a family member or friend and help them. Or just help yourself. I hope to accomplish all 3 this week.

And the title of this post I don’t believe applies to this piece of history below. It didn’t appear to be broken but it is beautiful. Well in a cab sort of way. Saw it sitting in a garage and with the sun gleaming off the back so had to snap a frame for posterity.

Checker as in Cab.

So as this gray and drizzling Monday begins, it’s not affecting me negatively in any way. Because the kid is relaxed. Which brings me to my observation of keeping things in balance and how hard that is when you work so hard for extended periods. Weekends don’t cut it as far as mental and sometime physical replenishment goes that is needed to keep a healthy perspective. Just my opinion, maybe I slip back into sweating the small stuff quicker than others. Maybe I’m not using my weekends and downtime correctly but I really don’t think that is totally it after all these years.

Yesterday I also realized I’m in love with sand. Yep, might sound like a 10-year-old talking but sitting on the beach chair and just running my hands through both wet and dry sand and loving it. So my hope is these clouds pass quickly and that I can get the sand between my toes and fingers soon again.

I see some other critters are in love with the sand also. And it makes sense with all the water and marsh that smooth boys would be present. A new friend at the beach pointed this out to me in the dunes just behind the shore. It appears to be a snake trail with a blue egg at the end of it. Thank you again Sandra

Snake egg, what kind? I must go Google.

Random Thoughts

People have to know their limitations.

You know what makes me feel young? Getting on a bike the first thing in the morning.

It good to exchange greetings and make people feel comfortable. And who knows, you might get a friendly one back.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. I enjoyed your thoughts regarding the need for rest and relaxation. I was browsing your photos and all the categories you have for them. May I suggest adding one more category; FISHING, I have seen many of your fishing shots in your collection, I think others would also enjoy this category.
