Its good to stay between the lines

Every once in a while life shows you important lessons, you’re supposed to drive between the lines. Especially when they are still WET. Hey we all veer off the straight and narrow once in a while, but damn. Then again it might have hit the Donald. Wish I had more time for a quality observation on life today but life is busy. And that isn’t a bad thing, it just limits my time for my passions a bit. I did start a thoughtful piece on the current topic of race which I hope to get together tomorrow.

Glad its not my car.

It’s only Monday and I’m beat already. Coming off vacation is tough. Jumping back in the frying pan is what I do though, so on with the game of high stress and how to avoid falling into its traps. And the first one I’ve been able to maintain today is that calm and relaxed feeling. Lets see if I can get through the week with that attitude.

Random Thoughts

Every time I think it can’t get worse, it does. And you know what I’m talking about don’t you.

Once a rag-top man, always a rag-top man.

Another long time friend retired today. And again I could trade words of admiration and respect and thanks along with many more adjectives. But I worry there are so few left that when I do retire, I feel there will be few if any there, that will have a history with me. No problem, a quiet departure is a dignified one also, because I’ll be happy with myself, my work and my contributions. But more happy about the relationships and experiences with them. Well there are a few that won’t be missed.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. Mike, I am hoping to be around when you retire. I will have plenty of congratulatory words for you. Your career is unmatched by anyone of those knuckleheads you work with or for. I’m convinced management does not appreciate your tireless contribution that you bring to the table
