Warmth

Even when a lot of things seem to be going the wrong way and your mind is racing. A warm spring day on the first of May is a wonderful thing to lift the spirits. It reminds me to live in the moment and soak up what I can each day. The less time I worry about issues or people who are small stuff, the less time I have to appreciate the wonderful things.

Little things like hearing and cherishing and replaying my daughter’s voice from our phone call today. Little things like the feeling of that sun against my skin with the top down on the car. Or maybe the embrace from my better half after we didn’t see each other for a day.

Lots of things weighing on me right now. But just taking it a few minutes at a time.

At least I’m not facing the challenge an old friend told me about today. He is quitting smoking. This is someone with almost a 5 decade habit of multi packs a day. I wished him much luck.

Random Thoughts of the Day

Took me a long time, but I’m gaining a much better understanding of people. I think the reason I didn’t dive into it before is because it’s both wonderful and scary as hell.

Lots of people get drunk off power.

You ever notice how beautiful flowers are for real.

Birthday and death anniversaries remind you how fast time really passes.

It’s not a waste of time to mourn those who have passed who were dear to you. It’s a sign of respect.

Do you watch your blood being drawn? I wonder how many do?

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
