Nice way to start closing out the year

OK I might have eaten more the day after Christmas than Christmas day. And today I ate more than that. Hard to imagine, I know. But that is what happens when I spend time with family and friends at this time of year. I got to reconnect with some in-laws that I hadn’t seen in some time and it was very nice.

And then there was an evening with some of my best friends that was a hoot. I’m blessed to have the people around me that I do. What I find extra special is these family and friend relationships have all been lifelong.

It’s so important to have that support system.

Speaking of support. I believe that we still get support even from those no longer with us. In the lessons they taught us, in the skills they passed down, in the love they showed us, in the respect for ourselves and those around us, the example of not giving up. So here’s to them today.

Random Thoughts of the Day

My children showed me a lot of character today.

I’m so discouraged with our driving public. Not everyone, just the people who make it difficult for the rest of us.

I’m thinking big for this coming year. Hope to put a lot more time in my pursuits.

OK, I’ll find my way to the treadmill after this post.

I’m embarrassed throwing this together at the last moment. I’ll do better the next few days to close out strong.

I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
