I’m far from the best photographer around. Not even one without the word amateur in front of it. But one thing I do well is looking around. Photography helps me see life better. Be it a person or place or thing. It’s enlightened me to be more observant.

It’s good to have your head on a swivel. It’s good to sometimes walk back in the direction you came because you see things from a different way. Sometimes just stop and look and wait. Maybe that smooth lake will have a fish jump in front of you. Or a turtle crawl ashore.

Life is better if you’re out and about observing it. I think I’ll get my behind out of the house again today with the camera.

Random Thought of the Day (morning edition)

  • I read that the fan protesting who knows what, who ran onto the field at the Rams football game and was tackled by a Rams player and now he is filing a police report against him. I personally thought it was a clean hit as shown here. OK here is my simple take on this. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it as Mike Curtis shows us decades ago. The judge should throw his ass in jail and then add on some time for stupidity and dismiss any charges against Wagner. As I age my tolerance for idiots is reaching an all-time low.
  • I hate driving in Columbia Maryland. Too many entitled people.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
