I love this monument area. First it represents a lot of my family. Both my Dad and two Uncles fought in this war. The monuments beauty, strength and impressiveness is only dwarfed, by the old Veterans who visit it. And with Veterans Day fast approaching I thought I’d post some shots the next few days of this area.
This is a monument for the ages. I see old and young down here quiet often.
The fountains, the pillars of each state, the Atlantic and Pacific pavilions, the placement of it on the Mall itself are all wonders.
With the concert on the Mall this year I’ll probably stay away but I do love visiting this site on Veterans day or within a day either way.
This is a wonderful spot to visit. Make sure it’s on your list if you ever visit the Nations Capital.
“Some people are dying to get one. Some people can’t wait to get out of the one they have. Some people have multiples. Some people love theirs. Some people hate theirs. And we all need to remember, It’s Just a Job”
We might want to pause and consider, can we fit everything we want into this small space?
“The amount of stuff I have to do, doesn’t fit in any known definition of time”
The Baltimore Aquarium, I love this place, just wish it didn’t cost so much ($35 adult and $22 child) but I understand the business of running something that size and worth. This is also someplace I need to get back and photograph again now that I have a few more skills and better equipment. Of course the best thing is to be in the wild with some of these creatures, but this is the next best thing to being there, as they say.
I’ve always been impressed with how they continue to add and develop to it. I think it does the downtown area a great service with tourism. There are so many things to see and appreciate inside.
So float on down to the Inner Harbor and take in this attraction, its not to be missed.
And when something starts to smell fishy, You’re at the right place.
Just keep hands and face away from this guy.
“Don”t you just feel the need to reboot Life, once in a while? If not you should think about it before it crashes on you.”
