There is still 5 hours in this fine day to utilize and maybe accomplish something special. I will certainly try my best. But its been a pretty good week after leaving a job of a few decades. First time I’ve been out of work since my teen years.
A lot of time was spent in transition activities. Another chunk in household transition from holiday to normal again. I was telling someone that time seems to pass even faster off the job. Maybe I’m having more fun. Then again I had to deal with both federal and state governments this week and that wasn’t much fun at all.

All the extra chores and tasks didn’t stop me from my hobbies, taking a few photos, making some prints, increasing my blogging activity and starting a few books (both writing and reading). I did get the start on gearing up the production facility (my home office). The basement has been reorganized. The office is in transition to properly utilize the space. I have an area for portraits started.
The list of 2024 goals is tacked to the wall. I was able to restart some collaboration with a very old friend on an idea we had back in August of 23, we both had a few setback in between. We looked at holiday lights on New Years Day/evening. Made my first trip to Savage Mill and had a great day with my better half.
I cooked one night (and didn’t kill us). I’ll shoot for two nights this coming week.
Special About the Week
What was special this week? Time with my better half. My daughter getting a beautiful classroom in a new school mid year. Talking to my son and daughter. Hearing my grandson was feeling better. Hoping my daughter in-law feels better soon. Missing my granddaughter on Friday.
I’m getting more sleep. I’m thinking more clearly. Physically feeling more fit. I feel great about some things and a bit down on a few others.
