Refocus

Ah, the early morning focus issues. I start off worried about the long list of preparation chores for next weekends family party. And then I thought about it in the light of I’ll do my best and hope they are happy with the effort. I’m sure I’ll pass inspection. And I’ll enjoy the week and be less stressed along the way so the day of the event I’ll be able to enjoy the company and feast.

It’s all how you view stuff. I used to worry about weeds in my yard. And I still work on them but I don’t obsess on them. I have the best cut looking crop of weeds between lots of grass. Because there is more to life than a few weeds. Look beyond and you will find many beautiful ways to spend your time and energies.

So I’m going to refocus on family, friends, fun, fotography, foolishness, and frivolity. You know, kind of reverting back to your youth. And it is back to school time so why not. No I’m not going to school but who says summer has to end at Labor Day weekend. For me I plan on stretching it through the month of September.

Random thoughts this morning

I was slack yesterday and didn’t donate to the Red Cross for hurricane Harvey relief like I asked others to do. So I doubled what I was going to give this morning. Remember every little bit helps. I’m still trying to make up for being a selfish person for too long.

Just because preseason games are televised, doesn’t mean I have to watch.

Note to teachers = brace yourself.

Note to self, time to alter route to avoid schools in the morning.

Note to all. Please stop when you see those big yellow buses with the big flashing red lights and the sign that pops out from the side that says STOP. And if you see someone who is blind driving and goes by one that is STOPPED, record it or get the plate number and give it to authorities.

Goals should come from inspirations.
