Contentment

For a while there, I was thinking I was having a problem. I sat down and the ideas for a post weren’t flowing. A big 0, nothing at all. Then I thought about how I felt. Yeah a little sore physically from yesterdays battle with mother nature, but my mindset is relaxed. I had a great weekend for the most part and I’m just content.

No raging about politics. No rants about work. No remorse the weekend is coming to a close. Just happy about the time I’ve had off the past 4 days. Not even getting the usual dread about starting another work week. Could be I’m just relaxed and content. Not a bad thing. I guess its good to be at peace and just having a day to go with the flow.

3 of my favorite things in nature. Water, sand and sun.

We got to meet the new neighbors across the street today. Very nice young couple. When you live in a small neighborhood that hasn’t changed much in decades and then it does its kind of interesting. Not that this is a close community in terms of having lots of close friendships or neighborhood cookouts. But we look out for each other. We pitch in when needed. We have each others back in watching things.

This young couple has a young boy and another on the way. That is a big change from most of the old farts who live here. It will be a nice one to see children playing in the yards again, waiting at the bus stop and all the other things kids do. I’ll have to remind my visitors to slow their roll when they come to visit and keep an eye out for young in’s. Now if I could convince the rest of my neighbors to slow it down a little.

Random Thoughts of the Day

And I thought last week was interesting. And all the talking heads sound like there is a lot more to come.

Do you hold your breath every time you get a Windows update?

With all the beach pictures I post some people might have the impression that I live there or visit often. Unfortunately neither is true, but I do love it. But I love my family and friends more and they are here.

I don’t understand why Hogan is running so many negative campaign ads. He’s going to win in a landslide. Republicans must be nervous.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
