It’s good to be back and it was also nice to take a break. One of my best friends invited us to their bay home for the weekend. We were only able to do one day but it was a very good one. A wonderful early breakfast and lazy morning on the porch before a bike ride. The bay was a bit rough for kayaking.
A shower and off to dinner at The Narrows Restaurant a short drive from our spot on Kent Island. Wow, a great dinner with best friends and our better halves. We ate so well and returned for a muted sunset but a fairly good light show of lightning.
Unfortunately, we ran into that mess about 10 miles from home and crawled the rest of the way. I thought about stopping several times during that span but thankfully there was only another car or two on the road so I just felt my way at a snail’s pace.
Only 8 hours left in the wonderful month of June. It’s been a great one and I’ll remember the many special days with my children and grandchildren. And the closeness I continue to feel to my partner.
I hope this July is filled with highs. There is always one tough day this month remembering a close loss. But many good days are already planned. But first, make the best use of the last of June.

- New production method. Only emergency stopping.
- I feel like I look healthier with a nice tan.
- Mirror check, haircut needed.
- Time to warm up the printer. I gave it a rest yesterday.
