Not the best start

Thinking about the late start I got on the day both here blogging and in general and I don’t like it. I did get a little rest, but it was a fight and one I’m not sure which side I came out on. At least it was more rest than some nights this week.

I’ll just have to work a little harder, a little longer into the day today. I’ve already got a few shots I liked earlier of some winged wildlife returning to the area. Also cooked up some bacon for breakfast and vacuumed the basement.

The afternoon is free, so I’ll do a little more photography and work on editing some shots I took yesterday and early this morning.

I should get cruising and set out to the sea that is today. To celebrate the peaks and troughs of the waves of life and get to work on the above mission. Either that or kick back and watch some basketball on the heating pad.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • When things are clean, I feel better.
  • Pain is a schedule adjuster. So much for the car show this morning.
  • I saw a headline saying Trump gives rambling speech to GOP. Has he ever given any other type of speech? Why is that news?
  • Holly trees are beautiful. Stepping on the thorny leaves is not.
  • Remember to say “I love you” to those you do.

Powered

Lost power for a few minutes, from those winds. Being outside for a bit yesterday, I thought a warmer image was the way to go today given the temps felt like the single digits with the winds.

Only 14 hours before we start a new year. Might as well put them to good use. Mixing some exercise and music for a bit, then back to work on the computer. I’ve got at least 50 shots to edit this morning and some to print.

I’m finishing a book I got from Xmas I started yesterday. Reading more is something I failed on in 2025 but I’m taking strides to fix that in 26.

The camera also came out of the case and did that feel nice in my hands again. I’ll have to download those and begin those edits. And see what else I can visualize today.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Made some summer plans with the family yesterday. Can’t wait for that weather to return.
  • Today is one of those warming your car up before you go anywhere days.
  • Apparently, there is a finite number of lies that can be told, when people stop believing them.
  • I drove for over 4 decades without seat warmers. Makes me think to myself how I ever did that.

Firing out

Some feel the need, the need for speed. Not me, I’m cruising into the week. A good friend described his Monday and Tuesday as cramming a week into those two days. I’m so glad I don’t have to put the pedal to the metal like that.

Not that I’m slacking, I’m just going at my pace. I have grand goals for the week, but possible jury duty awaits.

I’ve gotten off to a good start on the computer but I’m going to switch gears to keep my grandchild entertained and work on her creative skills. She loves her drawing room. And I love drawing with her.

Have a great morning all.

Paddling again

Every once in a while I need a few moments or a day to collect myself. Yesterday was that moment or day. I was spent and even took a nap in the afternoon. The turnaround began early this morning when I stayed up late and worked on the coming week’s plans.

I’m glad I didn’t start the day feeling like I was paddling uphill. I woke in a bit of a fog like the photo but that cleared quickly.

It’s a good thing it did because I have a busy day ahead. I haven’t had time for shooting today but hopefully this afternoon. I did find a few shots from the Rocky Gap resort that I hope to visit this year.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • A weight scale gives balance to my hunger.
  • I wonder how long it takes for that breeze I feel today to circle the globe and be back again.
  • The Miata interior is detailed, engine bay next.
  • I hate reaching the end of one day but love that I see the start of another.
  • There are very few good things accomplished without some substantial effort.
  • April is going to be great, but I still have a day and a half not to waste.
