Doing differently moving forward

What could you do differently? – Now that is one open question from the daily writing prompt.

I’m guessing all of us have a long list of things we could do differently. I just spent a few minutes and came up with a list. Now I’ve got to add these things to my many existing lists.

  • I could get more serious about exercising.
  • I could love more.
  • I could spend more time on the things I like doing.
  • I could sit with proper posture and get more sleep.
  • I could volunteer more.
  • I could modify my stock Miata.
  • I could organize this blog. Nah I like the mess.
  • I could get busy remodeling the basement.
  • I could try to adjust my attitude about winter and cold.
  • I could start following through on more of my ideas.

Differently

What could you do differently? So ask the daily writing prompt. At first, I didn’t like the question but it’s a very good one to ask yourself now and then. The list is endless and ever-changing of what I could do differently but here are the thoughts off the top of my head on a hazy Sunday morning before sunrise.

Body

Instead of focusing on diet so much, incorporate more fitness into the routine.

Mind

Feel good about meeting challenges but move on more quickly to new ones.

Soul

I’ve been a technician all my life. I’ve read more manuals than priests have read the Bible. Well, maybe that’s a bit of a stretch. But now I’m going to read for enjoyment and enlightenment.

Creatively

I have to stop being so judgemental as I’m working and not worry at all about what judgments others may make and just keep working.

Experience

Get out the door more. Be it to the county art exhibit, a movie, a local mill town, a small town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the Nations Capital, or in the hills of Western Maryland.

Personally

Try to become the artist I gave up on in my teens.
