Books

What books do you want to read? – So, ask the daily writing prompt.

I’ve got two books I just started reading. One I started last year and put down right at the start because something else took priority and one I just got for Christmas this year. They are – How to Know a Person by David Brookes and Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon.

My better half is the book reader in the house. She goes through them like crazy. Not that I don’t read a lot, just more online than books. Most of the books I read in my lifetime were technical in nature for my job. And the other reading was the daily paper.

Books in my pile

What books do you want to read? So ask the Bloganuary question today.

I want to finish (the WAR of ART) by Steven Pressfield this weekend. Then onto (My Effin’ Life) by Geddy Lee of RUSH. Next is another book I got for Christmas (The 1998 Yankees) by Jack Curry. And maybe get back to (The Photographers Playbook) which is a compilation of 307 assignments and ideas.

I’ve been enjoying reading lately. Mostly because it’s finally things I like, instead of reading for work. I learn and that is fun.

Oh, another full disclosure. A book is something I hold in my hand. Yeah, I was able to transition from a traditional Newspaper to the Online version but it doesn’t feel right no matter how many years pass. But there aren’t enough days left for me to move to reading a book on a substance other than wood pulp. (paper)
