What a Sunday. Bacon and Eggs prepared by my better half to start the day, a loving family and a busted hot water heater. Such is life. At least I have to funds to get it replaced. I was looking at it and remembered the day that one of my best friends helped install it. Like he had done a time or two before that. He’s from a family of plumbers but is in an executive capacity now, his tool bag for the job, put away a good while back.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’m sure he is still more than capable and has the tools, but I’m not going to ask him for things like this anymore. I know he would be here in a flash if I told him. I know I help him with things at his place but this kind of job is not something two over 60 guys need to be tinkering with anymore.
Time is to precious and I’d rather spend it with him doing something fun. Plus its a slow leak so I can get it done on Monday. It got me thinking about how we have helped each other over the decades with projects and repairs. I’m very lucky to be associated with guys who will drop everything to give a hand. I try to do my part also and be just like them.
Yeah I found another butterfly shot or two I hadn’t used, sorry. Being it was a wet, cloudy day in the 50’s, instead of the mid 60’s and sunny day the weatherman promised me the other day I just didn’t feel inspired to go out and shoot. Tried doing some decorating for the holidays and progress was slow.
Random Thoughts of the Day
For some reason I feel like I aged more than a day today.
Time moves fast when you’re doing something you’re not getting paid for. Like sleep.
Today I loved.
Tomorrow has a lot of potential. I just hope it swings the right way.

That water heater is a piece of cake, give our friend a call. Its a project for two life long buddies can tackle. He would be glad to help you. The money you save can be used to toast the victory and another job the two of you to remember. I wish I were there to help. Mike , hope you have a Merry Christmas
