I needed pants today. Well, we all need pants but the sweatsuits I’ve been wearing won’t do it for a few more formal events coming up. And my former wardrobe kind of falls off me now, so to the Mall we went. I hadn’t been here in ages. We found my pants in short order and proceeded to lunch and a little more shopping and walking.

One shot caught my eye. It’s the one where 4 people are sitting on that round carpet in one of the center rest areas. 3 of them are on their smartphones looking inward, heads down. The one gentleman on the left has a book and is facing outward. As I was walking up to the group I noticed him raise his eyes and look around a little, smile, and then resume reading.
And finally an epic battle of wills. We both managed to walk into the sweet shop Lolli and Pops and walk out without getting anything. OK, I paused at least a dozen times before walking out but I made it.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- Sometimes I amaze myself by just trying harder.
- Lots of people will probably tell me what I should be in a rush to do when I retire. Good thing there is a new sheriff in town and I make decisions like that.
- I saw far too many people walk by the guy at the Salvation Army Red Pot, and pass right by him and his ringing bell at Long Gate today. I feel like going back and asking him what percentage of people pull out some change or a few bucks. I’m kind of afraid though of being disappointed in the answer.
- I found some more wall space, therefore I need to make some more prints tonight.
