A simple wave

Maybe some of you are too young to remember but people used to wave to acknowledge someone letting them merge. A quick raise of the hand to signal thank you. I still do it most of the time. Always when traffic is heavy.

But I rarely see it being used now. I remember it being the rule instead of the exception but times change. So we don’t acknowledge each other now. No big deal, I can live without it but that won’t stop me from raising my hand in thanks.

I would also encourage the use of turn signals but I believe manufactures no longer install those either from the looks of things.

To the 350 Z and the VW who slowed in the 3rd and 4th lanes of the beltway to 30mph to race today in the late afternoon, may Karma visit you soon. If you want to race get out in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere.

Well enough road talk. I spent over 3 hours on the road today so I’m ready for some seat time in my office without the threat of idiots.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. Sounds like a challenging drive! I do like to wave as well.
