Stamina as a senior

In working the yard this last week or two I’ve noticed my stamina some days just doesn’t seem to be as strong. Taking aches and pain out of the equation, I just don’t feel I have the same energy and strength.

I guess that is to be expected or maybe not. I’m not in bad shape but I could improve. After a few hours yesterday, I felt like a shadow of myself. Maybe today will be better. It goes like that sometimes, so I guess I should learn to go with the flow.

We (my better half and I) need to take care of ourselves so we can enjoy many more days together. At the same time, I’ve got to get more exercise. The aerobic type. So off to the treadmill I go. Tomorrow, I will spend an hour or two with a push mower. That’s a good start.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. The work of maintaining a house and yard do help with the exercise, Mike. I like to keep moving.
