Word Buildings

My first time participating in this challenge.

I’ve been trying to be active in the Thursday Doors challenge and asked why not give Dan some more props for some great work in keeping these going. To see how to participate check out main CFFC page. And thank you again Dan.

This week’s focus is Libraries and Bookstores. I’m so disorganized I’ve only found 2 venues. I know I have some shots of the Easton Library and the one in Mt Washington. Hopefully I’ll find and share those later.

Sadly, this Barnes and Noble bookstore closed in 2020 after 22 years at the Power Plant in Baltimore.

Top of the building. Shot both in 2014.

Being I worked in the newspaper publishing field I was always attracted to the NewsStand section of the store.

And the closest library to our home.

I believe this building opened in 2011.

The front faces Frederick Road.

I like the stonework.

I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. Thanks for joining this challenge, Mike. These are great photos. I’m glad to see the effort that went into a library built in 2011. It’s a really nice building. We still have a Barnes & Noble near us. I should visit to let them know they still matter.
