World War II Memorial

I love this monument area. First it represents a lot of my family. Both my Dad and two Uncles fought in this war. The monuments beauty, strength and impressiveness is only dwarfed, by the old Veterans who visit it. And with Veterans Day fast approaching I thought I’d post some shots the next few days of this area.

This is a monument for the ages. I see old and young down here quiet often.

The fountains, the pillars of each state, the Atlantic and Pacific pavilions, the placement of it on the Mall itself are all wonders.

With the concert on the Mall this year I’ll probably stay away but I do love visiting this site on Veterans day or within a day either way.

This is a wonderful spot to visit. Make sure it’s on your list if you ever visit the Nations Capital.
