In DC they can take the speed cameras down now. The Potholes enforce the speed limits now.
There is no time for companies to build fabric, spirit, continuity, a common mission, an interwoven system of support. Because you can now measure the time people spend at companies in weeks or months instead of years or decades.
Your ass is better sliding on ice than falling on it.
As you age the number of doctors you have increases.
Seniors, I have a question for you. At what age do they assign you a full-time secretary to take care of medical appointments and insurance company calls and bills? Doing that and maintaining a full-time job or two is getting tough.
I would have no complaints if I had to cut grass by the end of March this year.
Have you noticed that when you finally get the wisdom of how important time is and to use every minute to its fullest, you don’t have the energy.
It’s not the roads or highways that are bad. It’s the people.
As I watch a neighbor make a makeshift hockey rink in his front yard and see the joy in his kids faces, I’m reminded, there are few things parents won’t do for their kids.
From what I see about American business, we are our own worst enemy. From the workforce to the leadership, it’s an adversarial relationship in a lot of cases. Things like greed and lack of respect and bureaucracy have all taken over and both sides are going through the motions. But unlike the old days there are a great number of companies and people worldwide willing to pick us clean if we don’t get our act together. Because we no longer enjoy the education or technology gap we once had.
Few things make a mother happier than Mother/Daughter shopping days.
And just curious, did I miss the memo where they are converting Route 70 to a parking lot instead of highway? Because when I go over it I see a lot of parked cars.
Have a great day, a healthy day and one filled with joy. I’m hoping to get out and do a lot more shooting today. And for those of you who are too politically correct. Shooting = photography. For if I had said Lead Slinging, then I would be talking about Shooting.

So many great observations and realizations. I particularly associated with your observation “Have you noticed that when you finally get the wisdom of how important time is and to use every minute to its fullest, you don’t have the energy.” Trust me. I’ve noticed. Finding the energy as a 43 year old woman who is finally pursuing her education while simultaneously attempting to make time for parents, kids, grandkids, significant other and a career is difficult at best.

You being so busy and taking the time to comment makes your comment that much more special. Best of luck with that overflowing plate of life you have. But isn’t it special to have the opportunity to have a big plate and all those wonderful things on it. Best of luck, on each of them.
