Sliding into Saturday

Wow, there was a chill in the air last night and tonight I think I saw the temps getting into the 40’s. Burr, that is beyond my tolerance range. So I’ll have to get out and enjoy that sunshine today and Sunday. Got to keep this tan for a bit, I refuse to surrender the summer season. Of course I run the risk of having leaves fall on me and make a less than desirable tanning pattern.

Saturday mornings, got to love them.

I feel like doing a thousand things today and I also feel like doing nothing. I guess I’ll find a balance somewhere.

Random Thoughts

I’d like to send my doctor the results of my annual physical in advance so we both can avoid the worry.

Note to our youth. The next time someone tells you giving more money to the richest of us will help you more, don’t believe them. History tells us otherwise. And when they tell you you’re getting a middle and lower class tax break, get it in writing and compare it to the wealthy.

There were two teachers at my high school that really made a difference to me. One that taught Art. He showed me the beauty and pleasure of music, paint, sculpture, photography, illustration and history. He showed me that passion for it was very important because it would show through in your work. And I also saw that when you had that passion about your work it wasn’t work. The other teacher said a couple very frank things about life and the changes I needed to make in terms my wild style as a youth to an adult in a professional world. He didn’t criticize it and admitted to some wild days in his past but made me realize the importance and responsibility of growing up in some one on one conversations.  Well to be honest, the latter one took a few more years. And now I have two daughters who are teachers that I also learn from frequently.

I guess it was long ago that natural disasters became political storms.

Here I go again, using too many words. Some of the best post I read sometimes are just a few lines or paragraphs long. Note to self – Quality, not Quantity.

Someone who takes every comment on them as an insult and punches back is a very insecure person. Especially when they are the ones with all the power. It might be done to illicit fear, but in most it just illicit’s the vision of a bully who will get his teeth handed to him someday. Because there is always someone tougher and smarter out there in the world.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
