What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being? – So ask’s the Daily writing prompt.
I guess advice from an older man might be helpful in this question, but not from this one. I’m far from the poster child for health and well-being.
I’ve done a few smart things like staying active and eating right as of late. Cutting out a lot of the excess sugar intake by limiting myself to one Coke a day instead of 8. I walk a lot now and I hope to get more active yet.
Ever since I got disgusted with my weight, I hit a high of 218, I weigh myself daily. And I stay between 170 and 176 lbs. I will never be heavy again. I wasn’t heavy for a long period but slowly put on weight from my mid-40s to my mid-60s. Now I’m down to a healthy weight for my height. I know some people say don’t weigh yourself daily. Believe me, I hear it from them all the time but it works for me.
I cut out most of my bad habits over time. Like drinking too much and smoking cigarettes long ago.
Mentally I’m still searching for the well-being part. I would just say stay challenged and don’t give up hope for better times.
