Power Post

I prepared this post yesterday in advance of poor weather in case I have no power. In fact, it went out about 4 times by my count but I was asleep for part of the evening so I may have missed a few more. Thankfully they were short in nature. And therefore, I’m able to update this.

I’m prepared. The flashlights were charged, ran some extra water in the tub (we have a well). I even brought the trash can back in from the curb last night because I didn’t want it to be my trash blowing up and down the street. Got up at 5:30 am to put it back out front.

Some more winds today and tomorrow so I’ll stay ready. I’ll get the generator out and test fire this week for when the winter weather hits.

As always, it’s important to remember the linemen and women out in nasty conditions keeping our power on or restoring it as quickly as possible. Many thanks.

I hope someone remembered to lower these umbrellas or they might be blowen in the wind.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
