Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why? – 3 questions in one from the Daily Writing prompt.

Bu Bu Bu Bu BEACH. Even though there are Sh Sh Sh Sha SHARKS. No slight to the mountains. They are beautiful and majestic. But give me the beach and the why’s to that are endless. Just a few below

• It reminds me of my youth.
• My toes love sand.
• It raises my spirits and lowers my blood pressure.
• I love the sound of waves hitting the shore.
• Sunrise and sunset just feel right at the beach.
• The smell of the salt air.
• SEAFOOD
• The sounds of my family laughing.
• The sights and sounds of hot rods and motorcycles.
• Cherry Ice Cream sodas from an old-style Soda Fountain.
• Watching the fishing fleet go in and out. Or better yet, being on a boat going out.
• Riding bikes on the boardwalk and around town.
• Watching the dolphins cruise down the coast. Sometimes the occasional whale or big shark.
• Family meals together or if I’m just with my better half some special dinners out.
• Watching surfers, kayakers, paddleboarders, boaters, jet skis. And sometimes participating in them. Not the surfing or jet ski yet but I hope to try that one soon.

I’ve said before I’m lucky to live 2 hours from the mountains and 2 and a half hours from the beach. I have the best of both worlds.
