Picking your direction

Each day we are offered choices. Which path will we take. Where do we go, with whom do we go with, what time do we leave and return. What tasks or fun do we choose? Do we stick with the same profession? Or in the same relationships.

Do we have that bowl of ice cream? Do we leave on time, so not having to speed to get to the destination? Do we get the tires replaced or squeeze a few more miles out of them. Do we take that loan or pay one off early?

I was about to throw this photo out when I noticed all the different directions people were pointed. I walk the city and beach a lot when I’m at the ocean. I feel like I’m going a dozen different directions at times. About the only time I don’t is when I’m on the treadmill.

I believe this is from Bethany Beach looking south. Photo by Mike Hartley

My better half says we walked close to 5 miles today. And I have time to get on the treadmill for another few. I do have a lot of editing and printing to do for the family. And I haven’t even downloaded the shooting I did in Annapolis today.

Random Thoughts of the Afternoon

  • Kids at play are the coolest.
  • Ah, I see more market destruction.
  • Veterans are being fired. And VA services being cut. I’m thinking of organizing a protest anytime Trump thinks about visiting Arlington National Cemetery.
  • Prices up, mindless cuts being made and important services about to disappear for good. Interesting what Fox News calls success.
  • Ran into a lot of friendly people today out walking. Bet it was the weather that put everyone in good spirits.
  • The way Trump is treating Veterans should really help the recruiting efforts. NOT

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
