Comfort

What strategies do you use to increase comfort in your daily life? – A thoughtful question from the daily writing prompt.

Funny thing is I never thought about employing strategies to increase comfort.

Other than when we get a new bed, we always want one more comfortable than the last one, I’m having trouble thinking of others. Oh, the great pillow she got me a few years back. That’s comfort. Good strategy my better half.

Comfort has never been a big priority. Probably because I couldn’t afford it. Comfort in a car is way down the list. It’s nice and when sitting in a new car for the first time, it’s the first thing you react to. But it’s not a decision maker.

My home is comfortable, but both of my office chairs are busted pieces of crap. I have a hand me down recliner that is too small for me. The bed is comfortable, but I don’t spend a lot of time there.

I do have a hammock that I do love to lay in and look at the clouds overhead.

Well, that covers the physical comforts. Because the word comfort always relates to my body when I first think of it.

Mentally I try to be with people that make me comfortable. Sometimes that means alone but most of the time it’s with family and friends.

Other than that, I’m fine playing with my hobbies, listening to music and learning new things.

I’m comfortable in my own skin and don’t have tattoos or piercings. Not that I have anything against them.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
