I don’t spend a lot of time looking at stats. And I rarely look at all time stats, but it caught my eye this morning that this will be my 4,000th post.

When I started blogging in 2014, I really didn’t have a great idea of where I was going with it and what I wanted in it. And over a decade later I still don’t fully know, apart from a few things.

I wanted to share my photography and a few thoughts. I haven’t done as much, as well or as often as I hoped, but I’m still here trying.

I’m sure I’ve used too many words, some incorrectly or with incorrect punctuation. And maybe at the end not a clear point. But I’m trying.

I know it’s an unorganized mess. I’ve got an old theme I need to get rid of and move on to something current. I don’t utilize the tools at my disposal. But I’m trying.

Sometimes I question whether I should be doing something different or focusing my energies elsewhere.

I hope it’s something that has touched a few people. I hope it’s something my family and friends might reflect on someday.

All I know is it needs a lot more work, and I hope to get the opportunity to do it and make it something that I’m proud of. Here’s to the next 4K.
