The daily writing prompt is asking – What are you most proud of in your life?

I answered the same question last year in a post called Proud where not much has changed except one thing. One of the things I said I was proud of is my country. Not so much today. I’m hoping to get it back from the orange one and his minions running it into the ground now.

Otherwise, my family, friends, careers, home and state I all hold proud still.

Suggestions –

I’m proud of my children. And I tell them that often. Both in the people they are and how they have done at their chosen professions. And now as parents themselves, my pride grows even further.

Life is tough. Tell those who are working hard in all facets of life that you admire them. Be it family, friend or co-worker. Very few people will take the time to do that.

Take pride in what you do. I’ve spent more time beating myself up than encouraging myself. I can say from that experience I was doing it wrong. Since turning that equation around, I feel much better about myself.

If you have pride in yourself, it will help you in making hard decisions.

Don’t have false pride or arrogant pride.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
