What was your favorite subject in school? – Asks the daily writing prompt.

That was a long time ago. Even though I try to learn each day. I guess I’d say Art was my favorite subject.

What was your favorite subject in school? – The daily writing prompt is asking me to reach way back.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get interested in education until I had finished high school which was one big party. I did enough to get by but the only thing I dove into was art classes. I can still remember walking in and hearing the Beatles playing and a smile on Mr. Perine’s face under that mustache. It was always upbeat in that room.

I also took a few photography courses in the one semester of college I attended that I loved. If thinking in the traditional areas I always found science interesting and challenging, and I liked history a good bit also.

I made my work, my school, and my favorite subject in that was computers.

The most challenging classes I ever took were some IBM UNIX system admin and Oracle database classes and a few programming classes. The best thing was I got to immediately use that in the real world with some very talented co-workers who were kind enough to also share their expertise.

But I’m back to my favorite subject now – The Arts
