I’m no performer or speechmaker. But I have done both and it both terrifies me and was a lot of fun at the same time. I used to do more when I was younger at the job. We used to have a very social company and would create a show from time to time.

Speeches are things I’ve done on both happy and sad occasions. I can write a fairly good speech, but I need work on my delivery. I get nervous every time no matter what the occasion.

I gave a talk at a technical conference once. I’ve gotten on my soapbox a few times at the job in front of teams or larger groups. Well, truth be told, probably more than a few times. I’ve heard the term “outspoken” used a few times.

We used to have nice Christmas parties at my first job and I would always try to perform a few skits about the year.

When my friends are around I perform for them quite a bit. I have a knack for making them laugh and when they are I am also.

My family says I’m quite entertaining. But I’m not sure that’s a compliment.
