Plan it

What’s the best way to explore a new city? – Asks the daily prompt.

Do some investigation on what you would like to see and do before going. Have plans for good and bad weather. Study transportation and food. The less spur of the moment things you have to decide on the better.

Then go and have a good time. Be flexible. Ask people when you get there about your assumptions. When you’re there note places, you would like to go next time.

And don’t forget to be a human being. Respect local culture and traditions. Be courteous and not that ugly American.

Oh, don’t forget getting there and back. We discovered the train and that was the perfect solution for this city. We will be taking it to other cities.

Things worked out for us on our first visit to NYC earlier this year.

Sometimes it’s helpful to get an overview of the city.

So, look down, look up, look all around.

A large, ornate gothic-style cathedral with tall spires, located next to modern skyscrapers, under a bright blue sky. People are gathered at the entrance and around the surrounding area, with city traffic visible in the foreground.

And have a great time in your next CITY.
