Oh no, as I’m cleaning out and finding bits and pieces of my history (trash), I am finding some relics of photography past. I think I’m up to maybe a half-dozen or more different style film vials. And ironically as I’m looking for new lighting equipment I run across an old package of Flashbulbs. Wow, can’t believe I used them at one time.
And film and flashes and lab processing and prints vs slides. And the waiting for it to come back from the lab, before you finally broke down and got yourself and enlarger and makeshift darkroom. But color was too expensive to do from home so you stuck with B&W for a while. But you had to go back to color because that was the WAVE.
Hell I remember when it was a huge thing for a daily and weekly newspapers to start to use color photos back in 1977. Oh yeah, there is another bit of history I can get into (Newspapers) but I’ll save that for another thread of thought.
A few months ago my father in-law brought me over this goodie above. The Brownie Camera. It was in far better shape than the one my Mom gave to me to play with in my youth. I remember snapping photos with no film in it, just practicing. Then my parents took a huge step and let me play with their old 35mm camera. I was hooked before I hit double digits in age.
Let me keep searching here for some marvels of film and light.
