Certainly not the heat and humidity that normally is present this time of year. And I’ll take it because it’s a perfect combination. I’d like to do some shooting but of course chores and a cookout will most likely get in the way, but I’ll see what I can squeeze in. I look forward to it each day with such anticipation now. Almost like when I first picked the camera up. But even more so now because results or disappointments are seen much faster than when film was involved. And when I get something good, it just spurs on more work.
Will most likely grill out later this fine day. Just some chicken but those steaks look good also and I might have to do that next weekend. I have two friends who are grill masters. Everything they cook is great.
I do alright on the old Weber grill and I love cooking with charcoal. I’ve never owned a gas grill and probably won’t. Not that there is anything wrong with them. I just prefer charcoal. Kingsford if you must ask. I see my neighbor has a new smoker. Now that is an addition I could get into.
So as summer approaches its sunset, get out, get some friends and family together and fire up that grill and watch the smiles appear. For how many true Summer weekends do we have left to share.
Otherwise I’ve just been hanging around the homestead like this guy in the photo to the right, getting ready for the job that pays the bills. It’s good to have that kind of gig. I take it very seriously. And at 58 I guess I’m still making myself useful so lets keep that party rolling please.
I’m feeling inspired this coming week and hope to come up with some new images to share. Think I’ll concentrate on the home county. And of course back to some exercise.
