Wow, what a beautiful day here yesterday in the northeast US. Reminded me how nice it is to be out and about. The changing of seasons and the colors. It’s a great day to be alive. I’m starting to appreciate all the small things I take for granted as I whip through the work days and chores in between the few moments of fun with family and friends.

This guy reminded me of what I’ll be doing in a few weeks out on the bay. Spending a sunny day on the water. Now while yesterday was in the 70s and this young man was going barefoot, I will most likely dress a bit warmer when its November. You never know what you’re going to get in this state weather wise.

I couldn’t decide which image I liked more.

I only had a few moments to shoot yesterday but hopefully today will provide more opportunity. It’s a wonderful time of year if you like color. But one of the things I used to hate about this season when I rode a motorcycle was wet leaves. Being they are all over the road this time of year its a real safety issue on 2 wheels. Be careful bikes, if you get some moisture.

I guess the water level was a bit higher to carry these trees over the dam. Photo by Mike Hartley

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
