Anything hanging over your head is subject to failure. Of course if we believed that completely, we would all be living outside. But there are many things on less than a sound structure hanging over all of us. Our health, our professions, our environment, our governments, our families and friends. But we move on, trying to shore up those risky overhangs. We work making this place better for our children.

But we are losing to greed and power. We are losing our harmony. We are losing our common ground. We are losing our respect for each other. We have no tolerance. Ignorance abounds. We want it all at our fingertips without an ounce of effort. And society erodes for all of us.

But each day (I’m not talking about election day) many are working to make it better. To think that either of those buffoons running for President is going to fix it, is absurd. Its going to take all of us or a vast majority. We will always find someone to disagree. Hell, just ask anyone what color the sky is. For some its night and its black. For some its overcast and grey. For others its sunny and blue. It all depends on where you are, what time it is and your basic ability to discern many shades of color into a vocabulary.

We have to be better listeners. We need to choose our words carefully. We need to respect other thoughts and ideas. Either we are going to live together in peace or we are going to turn into small armed camps even within this country. And that’s not what I intend to leave my kids.

So how was that exercise in using a photo to inspire a train of thought? Days I’m relaxed I can do that with ease. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think that anything I just wrote was that better or others haven’t said better. But its my personal reminder to do a better job myself.

And on with the madness of another day in Paradise.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
