My friend Slim returned yesterday. Been waiting to see him but guess the cool wet weather has him inside. Well yesterday he was sunning himself of the top of my recycling can. With that black lid he blended right in till I got within a foot of him. I rolled the can over to the grass and let him down gently and I thought I saw him go on his way back to the woods on the ground. But noooo, I come back around the side yard a few minutes later and I just glance up to the pine branches overhead and there he is hovering above my head doing his impression of a 5 foot tree branch.
Well I’ve heard of snakes in the grass. I hear they have a movie with snakes on a plane. So this is a Woodstock version of snakes in the pines. I thought they would stay away from those trees because of the sap. I’ve seen him in the dogwood out front and in a few bushes. He wrapped himself on the underside of table on my porch. But I never thought about looking in the pines for him.
Actually I used this because I wish my spine worked half as well as these guys. Mine has not been behaving at all and that is where I’ll leave complaining off for the day.
I’ve had an opportunity to go to Indy (Indianapolis) for a wedding this past weekend and it was a wonderful time. First off spending the entire weekend with my better half is always a great. And with a two of my best friends and families as well, it was a classic event. It was one of their Son’s wedding so that was very special day.
You know those weekly medicine containers for your pills. Those things really show you how fast time moves.
A happy birthday remembrance to a lost brother.
And how did I get to need one of those medicine daily containers?
A beautiful day, A beautiful song nature is singing. And I avoided watching news.
Movement is relative when the body is not cooperating.
Was a wonderful ceremony yesterday for Derek Jeter.

Nice post as usual. We won’t see pure hitters like Jeter or Ichiro again, unless Altuve can keep up his pace in his short career. Everyone wants the long ball.

Thank you for the complement. It does seem like some of those all time hit records are safe for a while.
