Top of the morning to you

A real weekend is when you add a day of vacation at the end of it. And boy am I glad I did. And as my best friends would say, “Hell Yeah” or “Yeah Buddy” and maybe, well I can’t go on with the rest of them even though they are funny as hell. And what a beautiful start to this Sunday morning. Time to make the best of the sun and get outside. I think some exercise would help. Probably some chores though will get in the way but we will try to minimize those.

The sky still looks more impressive.

Can’t believe I missed a few days of posting this past week but all work and no time make for a slack excuse. OK enough guilt. Onto great things and wonderful times. Yep I caught myself again slipping into sweating the small stuff. When I was on my way into work the other day and realized how lucky I am. Normally the drive is the dreaded part of the day. And I love to drive just not into and out of D.C.  I’ve been doing that for about 20 years now and the number of times people have tried to kill me with their car are too numerous to list. And if you don’t think I’m serious how many of you have had to have your roof cut off to get you out of the car.

So I did a quick reset in my mind. I thought about my friend saying his knee was so bad that he was having trouble with a clutch. That would be disastrous for me being I love driving a stick. Then I remembered being cut on from surgeries where I couldn’t even drive for weeks or months. So I enjoyed every mile of the ride. Glad I was healthy enough and enlightened enough to enjoy, relax and appreciate what I had the opportunity to do.

The new definition of “lit.” Tiger Woods latest video. He doesn’t need a swing coach, he needs a life coach.

The violence won’t stop till we change minds.

Stress can be a killer. Please find ways to relax, it will help you live longer. Now only if I could listen to myself.

Don’t you just love how we all escape into the fun stuff every day and ignore the really tough stuff.

Working is a means to an end. Creating is a beginning that never ends.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
