Goodbye July

Hot weather, fireworks, cookouts, vacations, whats not to like? The end of July, its kind of like the mid-point of summer. Yeah we got some good swimming and vacation weather left in August and September, but then the dreaded chill starts. Nights get a little cooler. The sun isn’t heating like it used to. And then you’re frigging shoveling snow. Shiver

So as we gently slide into August (thank you humidity) we have much to look forward to. At least I do. I haven’t felt more fulfilled in life as I do now. I’m one lucky guy. And I can’t wait to take advantage of the remaining days of summer to tan with toes in the sand. And ride with the top down. And use my hammock. And eat snowballs till I get brain freeze.

Well, there are lots of hard work between those moments. Maybe that is why they seem so special.

Best of luck to President Kelly. I hope his first words to Donald were “Lead, follow or get out-of-the-way”

And Mooch buddy, what happened? Did you run into a bad ass? Funny how knives cut both ways. You taking out the guy who’s replacement takes you out. Wouldn’t be ironic if that were a complex Trump plan all along? And no I wouldn’t give him that much credit.

Really, its improper of me to take joy at others problems of losing their jobs. But jeez, that was funny. That cocky act was already taken anyway.

What are the odds the guy who cut those 3 power cables to the outer banks island still has his job?

It’s always good not to have made too many CED’s in your history.  (CED=Career Ending Decisions)

Hoping that Tuesday has less drama.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
