Well that dry start yesterday, didn’t last obviously. Both my better half and I had been up and around and doing some things but we looked at each other around 3pm and thought that we might be having a lazy day. We both decided to blame it on the rain. And there is no shortage of that.

Being I didn’t get my studio cleaned up I’ll have to drop a photo from a couple of weeks ago. It’s the no gull crossing in OC. Also serves as a gate when the draw bridge opens.

No gull crossing.

Why am I so lazy? I really start need to start using the tripod. That slow lens and low light isn’t good for hand-held. So the old habit of leaving the house without it is gone. I’m putting it in the trunk of my car. When I go to shoot it will be my co-pilot seat. It doesn’t matter how good the composition or action is. If it’s not sharp, it’s not sharp.

If I had to pick one thing out of the many, that I think could improve my images, it’s the tripod. This frame of mine isn’t suited to hold that heavy Nikon and zoom lens. Plus it will probably slow me down and let me think more about what I’m shooting and from what height/angle. I went out and got a fairly nice tripod and I’ve been slack on taking advantage of it. So here is to changing that.

Random Thoughts of the Day

The frogs had a hell of a party outside last night.

I’m not sure my blog has a niche.

Well it finally happened. I was looking at the dates for the Howard County Fair and I saw that next year I will be eligible for the Senior discount of a $2 entrance fee. See, right there is a good excuse to retire here. Good thing I have another year before I get old.

A short work week ahead. Life is good. More chances to go shooting.

If anyone else has started construction on the Ark, then maybe we should pool our resources.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
