Glimpses

Each glimpse I have of a life without working a full-time job is more fuel in the tank leading me to retirement. I had a long weekend and a chance to relax a good bit. And after watching the sun fall over our flag for the festivities last night I’m having thoughts of sooner than later in regard to hanging up the shingle.

I love the glimpses of nature I get every day. A glimpse of my better half always brings a smile to my face. A glimpse of the Bay Bridge in either direction is a beautiful sight. Trying to get a glimpse of the future is not time well spent because you’re ignoring the present.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • It’s always nice to be away. But it’s always great to be home again.
  • Learning is a lifelong mission that some forget.
  • People who don’t grow up are sad.
  • There are big changes on the job that pays the bills. Makes one think about what one doesn’t know.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
