I love it when I have a camera in my hands. It triggers this instinct to LOOK at everything. My head is on a swivel from side to side and up and down. I’ve been known to do 360s walking down the street not to miss something I’ve passed at a different angle. I guess I should be careful doing too many of those at my age.
I’ve been quite lazy in picking the cameras up recently. That will change this weekend. I’m going to try some experimental stuff this evening. Tomorrow I hope to venture out early in the morning and get a few night shots before what is predicted to be a cloudy sunrise if any.

Then shopping for stocking stuffers and home before most will step out of bed. Some final decorating touches inside and out to wow the grandchildren. A nice meal with my better half, a few chores, and then a good night’s rest to get ready for a long Sunday/Monday.
Let the Holiday Season ROCK.
Random Thoughts of the Day
- I’m excited about cooking more this coming year.
- My better half said she asked the cashier at the grocery store how it was going. She said the same Christmas song had been stuck on a loop all day long so far. I’m guessing whatever the song is, that it will be barred at all events she attends in the future.
- My friend gave me a nice bar of Toblerone chocolate last night, I had one piece. I have been doing so well with snacks and treats that I thought I could do the same with this. I was wrong. I’m down to the last 1/4 of the bar. So much for discipline, I’ll have to pass on a meal soon.
- I need two computer screens. One on my desk and another one upstairs so when I get there I can remind myself what I came up for.
- Last year UCLA came to Maryland and blew them out of the gym. This year in a few minutes we go to UCLA and I hope the Terps return the favor and run them out. Of course, our team looks worse than last year so far. I’m hoping for the turnaround tonight.
