I like mornings again

This new schedule suits me just fine. I don’t feel like crap anymore in the mornings. And when my better half greets me with some cinnamon buns it’s a very good morning. The last few nights I’ve been sleeping for longer durations, which is doing wonders mentally and physically.

Breakfast has always been one of my favorite meals. And now I won’t be eating it in the afternoons as I did when I was working nights. Most days I would just go straight to lunch or dinner. But now, I can get back to the smells and tastes of bacon and eggs shortly before or after sunrise.

Another reason I like mornings is I’m getting extra time with my better half. We are fresh before the stresses of the day start to attack. Before she was already in 3rd or 4th gear and I had yet to engage my transmission when waking up at noon or after. It was like we weren’t in sync any nights I worked.

When I would change my schedule each week to get up in the mornings was a struggle because 4 days of the week I would be sleeping. But now we are in sync and enjoying the first few days of the new year together.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • There are a great number of things that can pull on your time. Not all are worth grabbing hold of.
  • An earthquake woke me last night. Strange for the northeast.
  • It’s the kind of cold out recently that bothers me.
  • Forge ahead regardless of everything.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
