I can feel the excitement building. Not just a weekend. A weekend where the white stuff might fall from the sky. We didn’t have any snow last year. And the year before was light if this old man’s memory is working correctly this afternoon.

So I took advantage of the sunshine today to get the lights, cords, wreaths, garland, bows, and beads down for the holiday before they get wet. In one way it feels early. I always leave the trees for last. Packing the ornaments and taking off the lights, boxing up the artificial one, and putting the old one back in the scrap wood pile to turn into mulch.

But tomorrow morning I’m thinking about braving the cold and maybe getting some early snow shots. I believe it’s around 9 or 10 am says the experts. I should be quick because it’s turning to rain after that.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Testing my initiative tomorrow morning.
  • Feeling good about some things and poorly about others. I guess that’s par for the course.
  • I feel like I’m making good progress, but sometimes it takes a bit more time to reflect it.
  • Every so often I’m reminded nobody knows me.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
