Kick it. Yeah I’m on a drum roll this morning to start my forth week of permanent vacation. I’m continuing to make some positive changes each day. Listening to some music this morning and finding a ton of inspiration. Plus it’s amazing after you have been under the weather for a bit to come out of it and feel the world is at your steps again.

Mother Nature is loosening her freezing grip on us slowly now and I can again venture outside without making a sailor take notice with all the cursing I can come up with.

The first few weeks of retirement didn’t exactly feel like it. Not much free time so it kind of felt like the same old routine. I was still and still am adjusting my sleep patterns. When you skip at least one nights sleep a week for 10 years and maybe average 4-5 hours a day for that timespan and your body and mind doesn’t immediately change overnight.

I was beginning to think I’ll never get to all I want to do with all these other things pulling at me in life. Then I remembered something I used to tell myself when I was working for someone else. I’m in charge ultimately.

So lets get to it.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • Each time I think I’m though preparing my shore exhibit, I find another print I like.
  • I hope Lamar Jackson is listening to all these talk shows and commentators who have anointed Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen as the best QB’s in the league. Both of them are at best second in their own conference. Baltimore is going to EAT KC like BBQ.
  • Some really big companies have some really bad websites.
  • I have a new favorite day of the week. All of them.
  • I’m about to find out if Nationwide is on my side.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.
