Monday Mayhem

I was up before sunrise and loving life this morning. A little music to get the mind in some nice rhythms. Some inspirational tunes that help me think positively.

My boss (me) was pleased about knocking out some work on the blog and prints for a few projects. So I continued this good vibe but took a break to hit the hardware store. Imagine, going on a Monday morning with no weekend crowds to fight. Hell yeah, retirement is sweet.

We love Clarks Hardware. Very helpful staff and good selection. Trouble is that means more work for this guy now that I have supplies.

An afternoon headache impeded my progress but I’m back in the grove this evening. I have both computers rocking and enjoying some me time.

Random Thoughts of the Day

  • A special week ahead for one of my favorite people in the world.
  • Why do I look at stats? I guess I’m vain.
  • I’m trying some different writing techniques. Time will tell.
  • I like the new Mayhem commercial with Larry Bird.
  • I intend to make good use of time. My practice is a little less successful.

With a lifetime and a half in the Newspaper industry I'm preparing for my retirement career as an Artist, Writer, Photographer and Video content provider. I'm a proud father of two wonderful children and I'm still married to the first girl I fell in love with and probably only one that would have me.

  1. When you mentioned “Why do I look at stats? I guess I’m vain.” which stats are you referring to?

  2. That’s the problem, isn’t it? The blog starts off as a place for writing or artwork. Then the sophisticated software behind social media compels us to care too much about ‘likes’ and such.
